The story of Yashoda and Krishna highlights the profound bond between a foster mother and her divine son. Born to Devaki, Krishna was raised by Yashoda and Nanda in Vrindavan, where she experienced the joys of his childhood and witnessed his divine leelas (divine play). Yashoda's love for Krishna is legendary, and she is renowned for her unwavering devotion and the unique experience of seeing the universe within his mouth.   • Divine Birth and Adoption:

    Krishna was born to Devaki and Vasudeva but was secretly taken to Gokulam to be raised by Yashoda and Nanda, to protect him from his evil uncle Kamsa.

    Yashoda showered Krishna with unconditional love and care, experiencing all the joys and playful moments of his childhood. 

  • The Universe in His Mouth:

    A well-known story recounts how Yashoda, concerned about Krishna eating mud, asked him to open his mouth. To her astonishment, she saw the entire universe within, including galaxies, Lord Narayana, and Goddess Lakshmi.

    Yashoda witnessed many of Krishna's divine acts, including his mischievous pranks and the miraculous events that were part of his earthly play.

    Hindu scriptures reveal that Yashoda and Nanda had performed intense penance to be granted the privilege of raising Krishna as their son in a future life.
